Shifting gears a bit, I wanted to discuss some of my favorite places to travel. First on the list is Boston, MA. Boston is not only a beautiful city but it also has so much to offer in terms of landmarks and top attractions in and around the city. Aside from being a fantastic tourist destination, Boston is also at the forefront of using Crypto currency for every day purchases. Here are the top things to do and see in Boston to help you plan the perfect vacation in a city home to the nation’s top universities.
MIT
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is located in Cambridge. This great institute covers about 168 acres of landmass and it features monuments such as the MIT Museum, statues, and architectural buildings. The Stata Center is one highlight of this institution. This complex was designed by the popular architect Frank Gehry and built in 2004. It is also known for its controversial design.
The Massachusetts State House
The Massachusetts State House is a historic landmark built in 1797 and it is one of the sixteen stops on the famous freedom trail. This is one of the most beautiful buildings on the trail and it is mainly recognized by the red brick facade and its gilded dome. This building is located Beacon Hill – one of Boston’s most beautiful neighborhoods. There are usually guided tours of this historic building all year long for free.
The Boston Common
The Boston Common is the oldest public park in Boston and it is another landmark from the Freedom Trail. This park was not so peaceful in the past as it was used for public hangings before 1870. You will some of the most popular sights of Boston here.
The Prudential Center
The Prudential Center is a commercial complex where you can find many of the most popular shops in the fashion world. The prudential skywalk is one of the exciting attractions on the 50th floor of the Prudential Tower. This is one of the tallest skyscrapers in Boston. You can have a great view of the city while enjoying a tasty meal at the top of the hub restaurant which is on the top floor.
Fenway Park
Fenway Park is a historic landmark and home to the Boston Red Sox – one of the most popular teams in baseball’s history. This park was first opened in 1912 and it has gone through several changes since then. Fenway Park has hosted some unforgettable concerts such as the famous Ray Charles appearance in 1973.
Harvard
You can enjoy the Harvard Yard area in the middle of this old university. You will find many historic buildings here including the oldest academic building in the US. In the 25 acres of Harvard’s grassy area, you will find these and many other memorable attractions.
Copley Square
Copley Square is home to the Trinity Church and one of Boston’s most popular squares. The Trinity Church is one of the most famous churches in this city, designed by Henry Hobson Richardson it is known for its unique Romanesque style. Copley Square is also the home to the John Hancock Tower – the second tallest skyscraper in Boston as well as the Boston Public Library. What gives this small square a great atmosphere is the combination of old and new buildings.
